Next Big Step (NBS) is ThrivePoint Academy Utah’s signature workforce development initiative, designed to guide students through career exploration, decision-making, and skill-building—so they’re ready to launch into meaningful careers right after graduation.This program is the foundation of our student support model. It’s not just a resource, it’s our mission in action.As a collaborative effort, ThrivePoint Academy Utah staff will partner with local businesses and organizations in surrounding communities. Together, we’ll bring in guest speakers, host community events, and organize career-focused field trips that connect students to real-world opportunities.

Student Success Coaches play a vital role in the Next Big Step program. They build trust, foster communication, and guide students through academic and career planning. By combining mentorship with personalized support, coaches help students take ownership of their education and confidently prepare for life after high school — whether that means entering the workforce, pursuing college, joining the military, or exploring trade programs.
